Step One. The first step is to spray your object with black and brown. You need to do it like a real ignorant, creating a very uneven surface.

Step Two. During Phase two, my secret weapon is an ugly sponge - the uglier, the better. I also recommend an ugly palette!

I will sponge a badly mixed bunch of paints in order to obtain a multi-colored, dotted surface.

Step Three. Something like this.

Step Four. Using an old brush, spread a generous mix of Martian Iron Crust and two of the Citadel Dry Paints: Hexos Palesun and Kindleflame. Then immediately wipe them off with a cloth.

It is important that the paints are poorly mixed to obtain streaks of slightly different colors.

Step Five. Clean the excess pigments with a cloth, this time soaked in alcohol - Tamiya Acrylic Thinner X-20A or isopropyl alcohol will do the job. The important thing is to do this using only vertical strokes.

Step Six. Final Touches with a thin brush to create watermarks and sediments using Scale 75 SC39 Mars Orange.
